The One who loves me deeply
is our Gracious Saviour Jesus.
Putting my hope in Him
I received hope’s answer.
By giving our devotion and respect to Him,
all sinners,
our sins acquired from our ancestors,
sins of speech and body, will be cleansed.
All the people in the world,
passing from this sinful village,
leaving our old natural sins,
we can enter the Lord’s heaven.
Leaving our old natural sins,
we can enter the Lord’s heaven.
If we ask Jesus for forgiveness,
He will forgive all our sins.
Nothing will prevent us from going
to this longed for paradise.
Rejoice and celebrate,
For now we can enter
into the way of salvation.
We’ll have joy today,
And we’ll be in the Father’s presence
after this life.
Filled with joy,
We will meet our Father God.
If you believe in Jesus,
You will receive new life.
1. Grace, grace, my God Jesus’s grace
Grace, grace, grace that seeks me (in) darkness
Because of seeking-grace (I) have been set on the straight-true path
That is the sign of having received salvation
2. Grace, grace, my Lord Jesus’s grace
Grace, grace, grace that loves (and) is merciful to me
Because of merciful grace (I) have received the Holy Spirit
That is the sign of the true Spirit (or: Spirit of truth)
3. Grace, grace, my Saviour Jesus’s grace
Grace, grace, grace (of) my Father’s baptism
Because of baptism-grace (my) heart received peace
That is the sign of forgiveness of sin
Believe in God The Father, believe also in Me.
In My Father’s house there are many rooms. (2)
Don’t let your hearts be troubled, give your troubles to Me. (2)
I will go and prepare a place for you.
Then I will come and lead you there. (2)
Don’t let your hearts be troubled, give your troubles to Me. (2)
Where I am going, you will also come.
In that place there is no more suffering, there is peace and happiness forever. (2)
Don’t let your hearts be troubled, give your troubles to Me. (2)
When you reach heaven, you will see the Father.
He will love you forever. (2)
Don’t let your hearts be troubled, give your troubles to Me. (2)
Many years passed before Jacob went back home. God had blessed him with great wealth, he was married and had many children. While on his way, he received news that Esau was nearby. Hearing that Esau had an army of men, Jacob feared for his family’s safety.
Jacob prayed, “Lord, You said You would watch over me!
I am afraid Esau will kill us! Please, protect us.”
Jacob prepared big herds of animals as a special gift for Esau.
Jacob thought, “Hopefully Esau will forgive me when he sees this gift.”
That night, Jacob prayed again. A man wrestled with him until morning. Jacob’s leg was hurt, but he would not stop struggling.
“I will not let go of you until you have blessed me,” said Jacob.
The man said, “Your name will be changed from Jacob to Israel. For you have wrestled with God and won the victory!”
Later, Jacob and Esau met. Jacob bowed low before Esau. Esau had forgiven his brother. He ran to Jacob and kissed him. The brothers cried for they were happy to see each other.
Who did Jacob wrestle with?
Why did Jacob’s name change to Israel?
Esau hated Jacob for stealing his blessing. Rebekah warned Jacob, “You must leave this place before Esau tries to kill you. Go to your grandfather’s home for a while.” Jacob set out on the long journey. One night, he used a stone for a pillow and fell asleep. In a dream he saw angels climbing up and down a ladder to heaven. God was standing above the ladder. He said, “I will give you the land where you are sleeping. And I will protect you everywhere you go.”
When Jacob woke up he said, “Surely the Lord is in this place.”
He named the place Bethel, which means, “House of God.”
Why did Jacob have to leave his home?
What did God say to Jacob in the dream?
